The Zoning Hearing Board consists of five residents of the township appointed by the Board of Supervisors. The Board meets on the third Wednesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. Current members are:

  • Alfred J. Glessner, Chairman
  • Joseph L. Barbato
  • Somers S. Price
  • Elizabeth (Libby) Salvucci
  • Frank A. Lamanna

The Zoning Hearing Board is a quasi-judicial body whose responsibilities are specifically defined by the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code.

The primary purpose of the Zoning Hearing Board is to ensure the fair and equitable application of the Zoning Code. It has jurisdiction to hear and decide the following, but it is not limited to: applications for Variances, applications for Special Exceptions, procedural challenges to the Zoning Ordinance and appeals from the determination of the Zoning Officer.
